Cruise phase day 1

So, it's much easier since I started phase 2 of the Dukan diet and finally got to eat vegetabals. First 3 days of PP (pure protein) were hard, especially the first day when I had trouble with severe hedache, nausea and feeling very week. But it's normal to feel like that when you are withdrawing from carbs and I was a carb person! I couldn't survive a day if I didn't put a little bit of bread, pastry, pasta or sweets in my mouth. But it all got out of control and I had to do something because I was not feeling well in my body. Anyway, day 4. was great, the scale showed 2 kg less and I was very encoureged and optimistic about my diet.

For breakfast I had stuffed tomato with tuna, green onions, Greek yogurt and arugula. On the side a bit of Greek yogurt with green onions and a little bit of arugula. It tastes great and it keeps you satisfied for couple of hours for sure.

For lunch I prepared chicken vegetable soup. I put 2 chicken breasts, (around 400 gr), 2 pieces of parsnip, 2 large carrots, 2 celery stalks, 1 onion and when the meat was tender and carrots soft I put about 10 cloves of broccoli. It was enough for 4 large bowls but I left half of it in the fridge for my other PV day because it's still gonna be good and I didn't have to worry about what to have for lunch. :)  I put vegetables, meat and a bit of soup in blender, mixed it, poured more soup in it, 2 TBSP of non-fat sour cream and lemon juice (1/2 of lemon). It was delicious! I ate another plate in couple of hours so I only had to"worry" about dinner.

While I was looking through the recipes on Dukan's website and on couple of forums I wanted to try and make sweet crepes. :) It was not bad, but next time I'm gonna try other recipe. This one is made with 2 TBSP of oat bran, 1 TBSP of wheat bran, 1 egg, 6 TBSP of skim milk and a little bit of Stevia granulate sugar. You bake it in a non-stick frying pan with 2-3 drops of olive oil. It's better to leave the brans to soak the fluids before you put egg in it and then bake it. Use the wide spatula to turn it on the other side and be careful cause it's not as firm as regular crepes. For the spread for crepe I made Dukan chocolate hazelnut spread (I call it Dukan nutella). It's super easy to make. Put 1 egg yolk, 1 TBSP of low fat, no sugar cocoa powder, 1 TBSP of Greek yogurt and 2 TBSP of granulated sweetener (I use Stevia), couple of drops of hazelnut aroma.

And that's it! The day was over! I felt good, no headache, no nausea, satisfied and already looking better, my stomach was not bloated as it used to be, I had more energy and most important I had the strength to continue.

The most important think is to drink lots and lots of water! 1,5 - 2 l per day is essential! And you can drink herbal teas as much as you want. I found out that I like black Indian tea with a bit of skim milk and stevia sweetener. I drink two cups of it during the day and it replaces the coffee that I'm not having now although it's allowed. I drink one cup first thing when I wake up and another one in the afternoon.
